1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every adult who uses this website or holds an EyeSay console account — guardians, family members, educators, clinicians and any other supporting professional. It forms part of our website terms and platform terms. It does not create obligations for the communicator, who is never at fault for how they choose to use their own voice.
2. Respect for the communicator
- Do not use EyeSay to compel speech, to extract confessions, to reward compliance or to withhold access to communication as a consequence.
- Do not remove or bury the agency vocabulary — refusal, protest, questions, comments and humour are legitimate communication.
- Do not present something a communicator did not select as if they had said it, in a report, a meeting or a record.
- Do not use derived insights to make claims about a person’s intent, feelings, competence or character that the data cannot support.
3. Prohibited use
- Any unlawful purpose, or any use that infringes another person’s privacy, dignity or intellectual property.
- Presenting EyeSay as a medical device, diagnostic tool, therapy programme or emergency service, or making clinical claims on our behalf.
- Creating an account for a communicator you have no lawful authority to support, or sharing credentials so that authority cannot be traced.
- Uploading or configuring content that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory or otherwise harmful to the person who would be made to say it.
- Reselling, sublicensing or providing access to the service as part of another commercial offering without our written agreement.
4. Automated access and scraping
You may crawl the public website in accordance with our published robots.txt. You may not bypass those directives, disguise an automated client as a human, place unreasonable load on the service, or harvest content to build a dataset or train a model without our written permission. Automated access to the authenticated console is limited to interfaces we document for that purpose.
5. Security and integrity
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or data, interfere with availability, introduce malicious code, or probe or test our defences except as invited by our responsible disclosure process. Good-faith research conducted within that process is welcome and will not be met with legal threats.
6. Enforcement
Where we can, we prefer to contact an account holder and resolve a problem. Where a breach is serious, repeated or puts a communicator at risk, we may restrict features, suspend or terminate an account, or report the matter to a competent authority. We will act proportionately, explain the basis for a decision, and provide a route to challenge it.
Suspending an adult account never deletes a communicator’s locally held vocabulary on their own device, and does not remove your data rights.
7. Reporting misuse
Report suspected misuse to contact@prodiasystems.com or by telephone on (01) 611 1534 in Ireland, or +353 1 611 1534 internationally. We aim to acknowledge within 5 working days.
